BuyerDeck security features

BuyerDeck protects your information online by using industry standard encryption methods to prevent unauthorized access to Content, data, and Customer account information stored on our servers. To learn more about encryption generally, please click here. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our registration or software, or your login credentials to our platform, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). To learn more about SSL, please click here. We protect PII in our databases, and any sensitive transmission of passwords and authentication tokens are transmitted using HTTPS

BuyerDeck and its service providers also maintain strict physical security at properties and facilities and only provide access to authorized personnel.

Access to the information you provide us with is restricted to those of our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Site or Services.

Features in our application, such as hiding insights from other company stakeholders involved in the project, and use of two-factor authentication to log in to BuyerDeck allow our users to use BuyerDeck with enhanced security. All traffic on BuyerDeck uses https which encrypts and decrypts user page requests, as well as the pages that are returned by the Web server.

BuyerDeck is not in the business of storing or processing payments. All automated payments made to BuyerDeck go through our partner, Stripe. Details about Stripe's security policy and PCI compliance can be found here:

The most fundamental privacy principle we follow is that by default, anything you post to BuyerDeck is private to the project team. That is, viewing the messages and files shared within a specific team requires access through a unique private link. This can only be shared from another who is as a member of that project team.

BuyerDeck is the custodian of data on behalf of the teams that use BuyerDeck. We don’t own customer communication data. Every customer owns their data. They like it that way and so do we.

At BuyerDeck we believe that more transparency is better than less. We try to make our product easy to use, with settings and options that are easy to find and understand. This is good for privacy, good for the product, and good for BuyerDeck customers and users.

Privacy goes hand in glove with security and confidentiality. We see these things being the three legs that keep the stool balanced and upright. Each is as important as the other and if one is missing the stool won’t stand. They are all very important to us and we take them very seriously.

While we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
